how the audit works.

  1. We pull your catalog

    For a quick look, type your artist name and we pull your releases from Deezer (or MusicBrainz, when Deezer can’t answer). For a complete audit, upload your distributor catalog export. That is your real catalog, with every track and its ISRC, the code that identifies one recording. It needs no lookup.

  2. You tell us who was involved

    For released tracks we check Credits.fm for registered writers and credited producers and players, and start each track with what it found. Those records are often incomplete for independent releases, so you confirm every track: co-writer, producer, featured artist, or session musician.

  3. You get the honest list

    The tracks you told us may need paperwork, and the agreement that would put each one on paper. The list comes from your catalog and your answers, not from anything on file. Once you have an account, tracks with a signed agreement stay off it.

The name lookup uses Deezer (or MusicBrainz, when Deezer can't answer) and can miss the occasional track. Uploading your catalog export is the way to be sure you caught everything. Writer and producer credits come from Credits.fm, which draws on the MLC (the US database of who owns which song) and MusicBrainz. They are often incomplete for independent releases, so every track is still yours to confirm.
