Who this is for
You are upgrading, changing or cancelling a paid plan, or you want to know what you will be charged and when.
Upgrading
- Open Billing and choose the plan you want: Upgrade to keysig Pro, or Get keysig Pro Annual.
- keysig sends you to Stripe's checkout page. You enter your card there. keysig never sees or stores your card number; Stripe handles it.
- Pay, and Stripe sends you back to Billing.
What happens next: your plan and credits update within moments. If Billing still shows the old plan after a minute, reload the page once. Your invoices are in the billing portal.
The billing portal
Manage billing on the Billing page (the dashboard's Plan and Usage card calls it Manage my plan) opens Stripe's billing portal for your account. From there you can:
- Update your card.
- See your invoices and payment history.
- Switch between keysig Pro and keysig Pro Annual. Stripe prorates the change.
- Cancel.
Renewal and cancelling
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period, monthly for keysig Pro and yearly for keysig Pro Annual, until you cancel.
Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for. You keep your plan until then, and Billing shows the date your plan ends and that it will not renew. Resume subscription on the same page turns renewal back on before that date. When the period ends you move to the Free plan, which has one credit in total; your drafts and signed agreements stay exactly where they are.
If a payment fails, Billing shows a notice and an Update billing button that opens the portal so you can fix the card.
If keysig changes the price of a plan you are on, you are told in and the change applies at your next renewal, so you can cancel first if you do not agree.
Refunds
The rule, in the words of the Terms of Service: "Except where required by law, subscription fees are nonrefundable and we do not provide refunds or credits for partial subscription periods." Credits have no cash value and are not transferable. The credit that comes back when a declines is a credit returned to your balance, not money.
Closing your account
Deleting your account cancels your paid plan with Stripe at the same time, immediately, and the rest of the paid period is not refunded (the Refunds rule above). If you would rather use what you have paid for, cancel from the billing portal instead, which keeps the plan until the period ends, and delete after that. Closing your account has the order.
If something goes wrong: if you paid and Billing does not show the new plan after a reload, or a charge looks wrong, see Troubleshooting and email hello@keysig.co with the date and amount.
