You Were Sent an Agreement to Sign

Who this is for
Someone sent you an agreement through keysig and you got an email about it.
What the emails are
Someone you know put your name and email on an agreement and sent it for signing. You may get two emails:
- One from keysig, under their name, saying what to expect. It has no link to sign.
- One from the service, on keysig's behalf, saying they sent you the agreement to sign with keysig. That one has your private .
If the second has not arrived, the sender may not have signed yet: are emailed in order and the sender goes first.
How to sign
- Open the link in the signing email. It works in any browser, with no login and no account.
- Read the whole agreement. If anything is unclear, ask the sender before you sign.
- Sign and date on the signature lines and finish.
What happens next: keysig thanks you and confirms your signature is recorded. When everyone has signed, the e-signature service emails the completed agreement to every , including you. Keep that email; it is your copy.
Do you need a keysig account?
No. Your signature counts without one, and the completed agreement is emailed to you when everyone has signed.
If you do not want to sign
You can decline instead of signing. The agreement goes back to the sender as a draft, and their agreement page shows that you declined. Talk to them about what needs to change; they can edit and send it again.
Reading it in keysig later
If you would like the agreement in an account of your own, create a free keysig account with the same email the agreement was sent to, and confirm that email when keysig asks. The agreement then appears under Shared with you: the parties, who has signed, and the signed PDF to download for free once it is complete. You can only see agreements you are a party to, and only while they are out for signature or signed. The thank-you page after signing offers exactly this, and says plainly that your signature is complete either way.
Your information
keysig holds your name and email, and whatever the sender entered about you, because the sender named you on an agreement. It is used to prepare the agreement and to send you the signing link, and for nothing else; you are not added to any marketing list. The Privacy Policy has a section written for people in your position. If you believe you were added to a draft by mistake, contact the sender, or email hello@keysig.co.
Who to contact
About the agreement itself, its terms, or a mistake in your name: the person who sent it. Their name is on the email.
About the link or the signing page not working: email hello@keysig.co with the sender's name and the agreement title.
If something goes wrong: the signing link is private and expires if the sender takes the request back; ask the sender to send a reminder, which re-sends your link. Anything else, Troubleshooting.
