Who this is for
You sent an agreement, or are about to, and you want to know what the other side gets and what to tell them.
The emails they get
Each gets an email from the service, on keysig's behalf, when it is their turn. The subject says that you sent them the agreement to sign with keysig, and the email carries their private . Your name appears as it is on your keysig profile.
If they do not have a keysig account, they also get a short heads-up email from keysig, under your name, that explains what keysig is and what to expect. It has no signing link; that is in the other email. Signers who already use keysig do not get the heads-up, because they know what it is.
Signers are emailed in the order listed, and you are first. If you have not signed yet, nobody else has been emailed.
The signing page
The link opens the agreement in their browser. No login, no account, no app. They can read the whole document, then sign and date on the signature lines, and finish. A signer who does not want to sign can decline instead.
When they finish, they land on a thank-you page on keysig that tells them their signature has been recorded and that the completed agreement will be emailed to every once everyone has signed.
Do they need a keysig account?
To sign: no. Their signature counts without one, and they get the completed agreement by email when everyone has signed.
To read the agreement inside keysig later: yes, plus a confirmed email. If they create a keysig account with the same email you sent to, and confirm that email, the agreement appears under Shared with you in their account. It is read-only: the parties and who has signed, and the signed PDF to download for free once it is complete. They never see your other agreements, your drafts, or anyone else's signing link. Creating an account with a different email does not show them anything.
The thank-you page offers them a free account for exactly this reason, and says plainly that their signature is complete either way. There is a guide written for signers you can send them.
After everyone signs
The e-signature service emails the completed, signed PDF to every signer, and to any view-only CC recipients you added. You get an in-app notification and the agreement shows Signed.
If they decline
A signer can decline instead of signing. Your agreement goes back to draft, your credit comes back once for that agreement, and the agreement page shows who declined. A declined agreement disappears from their Shared with you, because it is your draft again. Talk to them, make the changes, and send again when you are both ready.
If they lose the email
Remind, next to their name on the agreement page, sends their link again. keysig allows one reminder per signer per day.
What happens next: they get a fresh email from the e-signature service with the same private link, and the agreement page notes when the reminder went out.
