Tracking an Agreement After You Send It

Who this is for

You sent an agreement and want to know what the page is telling you and what you can do from here.

While it is Pending

The agreement page and your lists say Pending and who it is waiting on, and for how long. The agreement's timeline lists every signer with their state: pending, signed with the date, or declined. Your view-only CC recipients are listed there too.

• Refresh status asks the e-signature service directly. Use it when you know someone has signed and the page has not caught up yet.
• Remind, next to a signer who has not signed, sends their signing link again. keysig allows one reminder per signer every 24 hours and says so if you try sooner.
• Take back request withdraws the send. The links already emailed stop working, any signatures collected so far no longer count, and the agreement returns to draft. Edit it and send again whenever you are ready. Taking a request back does not return the credit, and sending again uses another.
• Edit details on a pending agreement offers to take the request back first, for the same reason.
• Delete agreement on a pending agreement withdraws the request as well.

What happens next after a take-back: the agreement is a draft again, the signers' emailed links stop working, and nobody is emailed about it. Tell them yourself if they were mid-way through.

If someone declines

The agreement returns to draft and the page names who declined. Your send credit is returned, once per agreement: send it again after a decline and that new send costs a credit, and a second decline of the same agreement is not refunded. keysig reminds you of that on the send screen when it applies.

Once everyone has signed

The page says Signed by all parties, with the date.

• Download signed PDF gives you the PDF the e-signature service produced, with everyone's signatures and the signing record. It is free, every time, on every plan. keysig never charges for or blocks access to a signed agreement.
• Download Word (.docx), under Actions, gives you an editable Word copy. For a signed agreement it is free too, and it carries a note that the signed PDF is the authoritative record.
• A signed agreement cannot be edited. To build on it, use Duplicate and edit.
• If the agreement states who owns what, its ownership records update; see Signed agreements and records.

Every signer, and every CC recipient, is emailed the completed agreement by the e-signature service, and you get an in-app notification.

Reminders for yourself

Set reminder, under Actions, adds a note to your notifications on a date you choose. It is for you only; it does not email anyone.
